My World Your World | Smooth {Dallas Photographer}

This past week our theme for our My World Your World Project with 4 The Love of Focus was:

Smooth ~ adj.

elegant, easy, or polished

Since we are a house always full of music, my interpretation was one of the many guitar’s I will soon hear weekly.

This is my husband’s newest addition on the left.

Fifty-Two on Friday | Week 3 | Joy

This weeks theme with my project with my Bloom Forum girls is JOY. I was in such a rush this week, I was thinking on the way home this evening WHAT was I going to photograph? My daughter started to go up the stairs and started laughing. She came and showed me this note my husband had left her. I know this is an unconventional JOY photo, but when I saw it, I thought “that is it!”

I love the JOY in little things, like this note. Just about my messy daughter cleaning up after herself. It made her laugh, brightened her evening and brought her JOY that he took the time to write her a goofy little note.

He turned 5 in April. I keep trying to take his 5 year photos. And it just doesn’t seem to work out. Today was no exception. But that was partly my fault. It was about 2:30 PM and 103 outside!

A few weeks ago we headed out to California for some Southern California sunshine! We stayed at the fabulous Marriott Newport Coast Villas. We did all the touristy things like, Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, Universal Studios, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Santa Monica Pier, Beverly Hills and the beach! We headed to Coronado one afternoon then spent a day at Crystal Cove State Park. This is where the move Beaches was filmed.

The kids liked playing in the tide pools.

Now, to get through the rest of the summer since vacation is over.
