Our 52 week project with The Bloom Forum is on it’s 34th week. This week our theme is:

Bokeh:

In photography bokeh is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image,

or the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light

I LOVE shooting wide open and playing around with Bokeh.

Can you believe it’s already the middle of July? We went on vacation last week to South Padre Island. The kids had lot of fun in the sun and sand. On the 4th of July, we took a Pirate Cruise on the Black Dragon. I highly recommend it if you are ever in the area. They kept the kinds entertained for the entire three hours!

We’ve had a busy summer so far. Jackson attended FC Dallas soccer camp last week and is attending Vacation Bible School this week. He LOVES it and says he wants to go all summer long. He also lost a tooth recently!

Next month we are looking forward to a little slower month and some vacation time!

The kids and I went out in search of new locations over the weekend. I have some AWESOME fields right outside my subdivision. Each year I tell myself I’m going to check them out and always just get too busy. This year I am making the time.

Jackson is becoming quite the poser. Unfortunately for me, it only lasts a few minutes. And then he’s off exploring and looking for corn!

Right now is a GREAT time for field photos in Dallas or Frisco. Once the heat hits, everything will brown out. Be sure and schedule your spring photos soon!

Texas Bluebonnets | Dallas Child Photographer

Every year in March people flock to the fields of Bluebonnets around Texas. I’m lucky to have an awesome hill nearby that fills up with them every year! The Bluebonnets are only around for a few weeks each year. People are always stopped on the side of the road taking photos, planning their weekend around getting their yearly Bluebonnet photos and asking around which fields bloomed that year. It’s kinda fun!
